The Latest Dab Pens reviewed by our team
The XMAX Riggo excels as a 2-in-1 vaporizer, offering both eNail and dry pipe modes with a clever aluminum design. Despite a non-airtight seal, vapor quality is impressive. It's user-friendly, portable, and at $100, it's a great value, especially with available coupons
Puffco Plus, the sleek dab pen, retains its iconic design with an updated matte finish. It's discreet, slim, and offers a coil-less ceramic bowl for pure flavor. Despite the old USB-A charger, its performance is top-notch. At $89, with 510 cart compatibility, it's a standout choice for both new and seasoned users, delivering clean vapor in a modern package.
The Groove CARA+ stands out with its coil-less quartz cup and variable voltage settings. It's a must-have for concentrate enthusiasts looking for a dependable device at a competitive price point.
The Yocan Black ACE is a dab pen compatible with concentrates/extracts, retailing at $65. It shares the ergonomic design, trigger operation, and OLED screen of the MAX, but lacks water filtration. The ACE uses TGT coils, which are hard to clean and lack precise temperature control. Despite this, it offers a good experience for its price, although the vapor can be harsh due to the direct coil-to-mouthpiece design.
A compact, user-friendly vaporizer offering a high-quality vaping experience. Features variable voltage, excellent flavor, strong vapor production, and a durable design. Ideal for both beginners and seasoned vapers.
The Tronian Gammatron is a feature-packed, durable, and convenient wax pen that offers a high-quality vaping experience. It's a great choice for both beginners and seasoned users.
The Puffco Proxy looks like a traditional pipe but has a high-tech modular design with a Ceramic chamber and Puffco's advanced 3D heating technology. It is compatible with Extracts right out of the box, and there is a dry herb attachment available separately. It is another groundbreaking device from Puffco, it delivers big on vapor quality, and it is approachable with zero learning curve. Worth it if you can afford it.
The Yocan Orbit is a back-to-basics wax pen with a unique see-through coil-less oven, and the option to use the accompanying terp pearls to better vaporize wax. It also features a stainless-steel body, 3 pre-set settings, a 1700 mAh battery, and USB-C charging.
The Lookah Swordfish takes us back to the basics, no-nonsense days of dabbing. Its clamshell mouthpiece makes loading such a breeze, and the simple single-button interface makes the device perfect for beginners. The Swordfish has three variable voltages as indicated by an LED light and is powered by a long-lasting 950mAh battery
The Kind Pen Lobi is an uncomplicated, and well-performing wax pen. It features a full quartz coil-less atomizer, 4 pre-set temperature settings, a glass mouthpiece, an LED indicator, adjustable airflow, and a 1200mAh battery that charges via USB-C. It's isolated airpath is completely splash-proof, so you’ll never have to worry about any spit back coming from the hot atomizer
The G-Pen Micro+ (Plus) is a feature-packed 2021 version of an old-school dab pen. It's comprised of three parts – a food-grade silicone mouthpiece, the Micro+ tank, and the 850mAH battery with 510 threading. The Micro+'s battery makes micro-adjustments for more consistent temperatures and distinguishes between cartridges and the Micro+ tank.
The Yocan Regen is an affordable concentrate vaporizer made for the hard-hitters. It includes two different quartz coils that produce intense vapor and big clouds. The vapor quality is good but not great, so anyone who is into flavor over clouds should look elsewhere.
The Evolve Plus XL is third in a line of simple, straightforward, and hard-hitting concentrate vaporizers. With only the quad quartz coil as an option- be ready for vapor that is warm and dense. It’s a great option for heavy users or anyone who’s looking for a device that simply does the job without too much fuss, and comes at a fair price tag.
The Linx Ares is a honey straw that passes for a pen at first glance, which makes it incredibly great if you want to bring it around- however, having to carry a container at all times might be a downside for some users. But overall, the Ares is a well-constructed device that’s easy to use, is made with premium materials, and produces very flavor-forward vapor.
The Linx Ember is an inexpensive, well built wax vaporizer with a recessed coil atomizer, three temperature settings, 510 connectivity and an interesting vapor window that lets you see your material turn into vapor. It’s surprisingly feature-loaded for its price and is recommended for anyone looking for something discreet and portable.
The Yocan Flame is a feature-packed vaporizer, with several inclusions in its kit at a very affordable price. While it is primarily a wax vaporizer and the Honey Straw feature is secondary - this is one of the few devices on the market that serve this dual purpose. It’s a great device to have if you want something that has water filtration - without breaking the bank.
The Crystal 2 is a high-end, durable Dab Pen. The "Coilless" quartz bowl and the glass mouthpiece produce flavorful vapor that remains pure and tasty throughout the entire session. It also has adjustable airflow and a large (1200mAh) battery that outlasts "thinner" pens. The Crystal is simple enough for beginners and powerful enough for advanced users, making it the best wax pen of 2023.
Dabox features 3 interchangeable coils that you can use on any occasion. It has a glass vapor path which makes the vapor clean and pure and also has a 1500 mAh battery that outperforms similarly-priced vape pens. The flaw of this device is there's no way you can control the heat at all but Dabox Pro (released earlier this year) has 5 temp levels instead of one. It's a better vape yet more expensive than Dabox.
Yocan Vane has a 380 mAh battery with Dual Quartz Coil and features a pre-heat function. It's a sleek and straightforward vape that produces vapor that's suitable for beginners. It may be an appealing choice, especially for those who have a low budget or as a ‘travel vape’. But, if you are looking for a primary wax pen, I suggest you invest a little more $ and go for a longer-lasting, better quality vape.
Utillian 2 is an affordable and straightforward wax pen. It has a straw-like glass mouth tip that keeps the vapor cool, especially in lower settings. The Dual Quartz coil works great for small amounts and produces mild and soft vapors that are suitable for first-time users. However, caution is needed since the mouth tip is gentle and can easily break. The 2 is a good “first vape” but keep in mind that you’d probably grow out of it quickly and look for something more advanced.
The Yocan X has a 500 mAh battery and features a Dual Quartz Coil like most of the Yocan vaporizers I've tested. It has a balance of vapor quality and cloud production that is unusual for an inexpensive vaporizer. This is an appealing choice for beginners who want to try vaping concentrates. However, if you're an experienced vaper who expects stellar vapor quality, there are some better options for you.
Dr. Dabber Stella is a sleek-looking vape that produces stellar vapor flavor. It features a Temperature Coefficient Resistance which prevents the wax from getting burned. Also, the ‘floating coil' design helped with dispersing the heat properly. For a $100 vape, this is suitable for both newcomers and experienced vapers who prefer vapor flavor above anything else.
The Weezy is an entry-level vaporizer that has a simple and intuitive design. It has three preset temperatures and features a 15 seconds sesh mode so that you won't need to hold down the power button as you vape. It also features a button on its side that pops out the ceramic atomizer for easier loading and cleaning. Finally, it has a 700 mAh battery that could last a couple of days of casual vaping. All in all, this is an appealing choice for beginners or vapers who are looking for a back-up or travel vape.
The Explore could have been a pretty solid vaporizer, but the poor vapor quality lets it down. No matter whether you use dry herb or wax, you will be disappointed with this vape. That’s too bad because it has some nice features, but the flavor is what matters most and that is sadly lacking here.
Do you prefer wax, dry-herb or oil? If you are anything like me, by now you have realized that you really don’t have a preference and the one thing you really love is getting high. Whether you enjoy weed, wax, or oil, the Yocan Evolve is the right pen for YOU! Yes, that’s right, you can enjoy your vape in 3 different ways and if that is not enough, there is no wait time for your session since it heats up almost instantly.
The Linx Blaze is a straightforward and simple vape that provides great vapor quality for its price. It features interchangeable coils (Quartz and Ceramic), a glass mouthpiece, four temp settings- all optimized to produce clean and delicious vapor. Overall, the Linx Blaze is capable of satisfying vapers who prioritize discretion and vapor flavor.
The HoneyStick Plasma is a revelation and a revolution in extract vaping. This innovation in vape pen design never puts your extracts into contact with the heating element. This provides some of the most refined flavor you’ll ever get from a vape pen. If you like pure flavor and want to try something new, then give the HoneyStick Plasma GQ a shot.
The Yocan Delux is a cool design that is one of the more interesting, yet practical vapes that I’ve tried in a while. The dual vape concept is extremely useful and I could switch between them with ease. Flavor is good, but not the best, and the Delux is too big for pockets, but those are small prices to pay for this kind of convenience.
I found the Kind Pen Dream to be a solid performer because it delivers good—but not great—vapor quality and has a glass mouthpiece, an option I always like. My main problem with it is the strangely placed touch sensor and the fact that the mouthpiece gets dirty very quickly. Those qualities make it a slightly above-average vape pen rather than an outstanding one.
I wanted to like the Magneto but it simply isn’t that great. Considering how hard it is to maintain, the vapor quality simply isn’t good enough to overcome all the issues associated with it. I can’t recommend the Magneto even to beginners, much less to more experienced vapers.
The Linx Hypnos Zero is a great vape pen that delivers awesome vapor. Even better, it’s a great vape pen, that delivers awesome vapor, that I can take anywhere. The quality and portability makes it one of my go-to wax vapes. I’d like a slightly bigger battery, but that’s just a nitpick more than a huge flaw.
If you casually vape extract and oil, then this is the vaporizer for you. The HS Phantom features magnetic adapters for Dual Quartz Coil and pre-filled carts. It has a squeeze-to-vape design with four voltage settings that can handle everything, whether 510 carts or concentrates. The Phantom has a preheat function, which is useful to vape thicker oils or more substantial concentrates. You'll also be vaping for a while since it has a 1000mAh battery that can go for ages without a recharge. All in all, this is a decent travel vape that you could get for $100.
I like how I can take the Pulsar APX Wax anywhere and vape whenever I’m ready. It offers an impressive level of convenience, though it comes at the cost of customization. The vapor is a little strong for my liking, but those who like their vapor that way might like the APX Wax.
The Dr Dabber Light is a surprisingly good budget wax pen. It delivers good flavor quality in a small and slim and stealthy device. It’s easy to operate that even first-time vapers won’t have any trouble using it. The only downside is that the atomizer needs to be replaced every few weeks, but aside from that, this is a great vape pen for the price.
The A$AP Rocky vape pen is one of the best looking vape pens I’ve ever used, but fortunately it’s a lot more than that. It is also impressively versatile and delivers a great vaping experience, especially with the ceramic coil. I definitely recommend it, but only if you can afford it.
The KandyPens K-Box is a little too intense for me, but it would be perfect for anyone who likes their vapor to be on the strong side. I did appreciate that I can take it nearly anywhere and that it would be ready to go pretty quickly. I didn’t like the forgettable design, even though it is easy to use and pretty sturdy.
At The Vape Guide, our goal is to have our visitors be the most well-informed and up-to-date vapers—or soon to be vapers—anywhere. We do that by giving you detailed breakdowns of the different kinds of vaporizers, tips, tricks, and advice that vapers will find useful, and by providing the most in-depth vaporizer reviews on the internet.
Since the vaporizer industry is constantly growing, it seems like a new vaporizer is released every week. That can make it hard for even seasoned vapers to keep up, which is why you have us. We help you to choose the right vaporizer for you by focusing on the specific aspects that are important to vapers regardless of whether they are beginners or veterans. Here is what we take into account when we rate each product:
As you can tell by the criteria listed above, our rating method is a mix of the objective and the subjective. When it comes to the subjective opinions, you can trust our team because they have been into vaping almost as long as vaporizers have been around. We have used and tested dozens of vaporizers in all available categories, so our experience is unparalleled.
After we rigorously test each device, we express our opinion in an easy to understand five point number system. That way you can get an idea of the vaporizer’s quality at a glance, but if you want a more detailed opinion, you can read the whole review.
When ranking vaporizers, we are looking for a high price/ performance ratio. Vapes can be ranked higher or lower, depending on their performance vs other vapes in the price range.
No matter which vaporizer you decide to buy, make sure that you get it from an authorized retailer. That is the best way to make sure that the vaporizer you purchase is authentic and not counterfeit. Counterfeit vapes can be dangerous so you want to take all possible precautions to avoid them. All of the retailers listed on our site are authorized so you can be sure that their inventory is always legit.
