In-Depth Vapir Prima Review:
Vapir Prima Design:
The Vapir Prima is about 5 inches long, and has the removable mouthpiece on one end, and the heating chamber on the other hand. The body is made of brushed aluminum that is smooth to touch, kind of like the back of an iPhone 6. The Prima Vape feels solid in hand, and it definitely seems like Vapir used high-grade parts when constructing this vape.
The Vapir Prima has an ergonomic design and feels well balanced and natural while holding. The vapor pathway is made of stainless steel, and is detachable from the body for cleaning and maintenance purposes. The stainless steel pathway sits between the chamber and the mouthpiece and is doing a good job in cooling down the vapor while taking a draw.
One drawback to mention here is, that the Vapir Prima might get a little hot during a session. Not too hot to touch, but if holding for a long time it might be a bit uncomfortable in your hand, For that Vapir includes in the package a silicone cover that fits the chamber end of the unit, and will isolate the chamber from your hand if it gets uncomfortably warm. The Silicone cover came in handy when I was using the Prima with wax and oil as these substances require a more intense heat, level 4 on the Prima (more on that later). When using herb, I experienced the best results on level 3, and the cover was not needed for the most part.
Overall the quality and feel of the Vapir Prima is luxurious and elegant. It is clear that high-quality parts and incredible engineering went into this producing this vape, and it is protected by Vapir’s warranty for 5 years on the unit, and 2 years on the battery.
Using the Vapir Prima:
The Vapir Prima can be used with dry herb or oily concentrates. To start a session, remove the back cap to expose the heating chamber and use the included scoop to fill the chamber with herb, or the included Dab and liquid pads to load with Wax. One thing worth noting here is that the Vapir Prima is specifically designed to to be used with very sticky THC and CBD concentrates, that otherwise will clog and ruin other Vaporizers. The Vapir handles them with ease, as Vapir sees the developments happening in consumers preference on how to consume their THC. Concentrates has become very popular in recent years, due to their high potency in low volume properties. Waxes are available at local dispensaries throughout the US. For those of you that have experience with Concentrates in vaporizers, you know that this is not an easy task and most vapes will get extremely dirty and clogged when using with Wax, that is not the case with the Prima. It has a built in screen and is specifically designed to work well with these very sticky THC concentrates.

Next, turn the unit on by pressing the top button for 3 seconds, and adjust the temperature by pressing the same button again to select one of 4 pre-defined temperature settings (number of LEDs = heat level):
- Level 1- 350° F – 360° F ( 176.67° C – 182.22° C )
- Level 2- 365° F – 375° F ( 185° C – 190.56° C )
- Level 3 – 380° F – 390° F ( 193.33° C – 198.89° C )
- Level 4 – 390° F – 400° F ( 198.89° C – 204.44° C )
The LED lights will flash orange while the unit is heating up, and will turn solid green when ready to use. Heat up time clocks in at about 30 seconds, that is half the average heat up time of comparable vapes such as the Pax 2 and the Crafty. Once the lights are green, the Prima is ready to use.
The Prima has a auto shut-off feature that kicks in 5 minutes after power-on, and can be extended by two minutes by pressing the power button one more time.
Vapir Prima Vapor Quality:
Vapir’s Rise V2 is known to have one of the best tasting Vapor flavor in desktop units, and going into the first session I had high expectations from the Prima. Looks and design is important but if the Vapor quality is not there, you end up not using the Vaporizer as much as you intended, and revert to other ways (burning!) of consuming your herb/ wax. So Vapor quality is important, and we expect to be impressed, now let’s vape..
So, right from the first session a few things emerge-
The Vapir Prima’s vapor quality is exceptional. The Vapor is aromatic and flavorful. It is warm and consistently good, and it is clear that Vapir did not compromise performance over looks. The Vapor quality compares to the top units in the class such as the Firefly and the Crafty. With that said, the amount of visible vapor was not as high as I expected. This does not bother me personally as it makes the unit even more discreet and as long as I keep getting the desired effects from the Prima, I do not care how much visible vapor actually comes out. Again, as for the quality, very tasteful and warm, smooth aroma with every draw throughout the session.
Battery and Power:
The Vapir Prima uses a “slide-in” battery that is detachable from the body. I like this design because that allows to invest in another battery and that makes things a lot easier when traveling or on the go, and wanting to swap batteries once exhausted. The is powered by a 3200 maH Lithium-ion battery that provides about an hour of continuous use. That is about 10-14 5 minute sessions, depending on heat settings.
