Yocan Stealth Background

The Yocan Stealth ($49.50 directly from Yocan, use coupon code TVG10 for a 10% discount) is a sneaky new wax vaporizer that’s built for stealth and portability. It certainly ticks those two boxes since its from Yocan, who’ve brought us a lot of different sneaky vapes.

They’ve also brought us a lot of multi-use vaporizers, and the Stealth is no different since it can vape both oil and wax extracts. Don’t throw away your old oil or wax vapes just yet though, not until you read my Yocan Stealth review to find out just how well this discreet, multi-use vaporizer performs, and how it stacks up to the Best Vape Pens on the market.

Yocan Stealth Design

Yocan Stealth w: CBD cartridge
The 510 threading of the Stealth enables compatibility with pre-filled cartridges.

The Stealth is four inches tall, which is about the size of a cigarette lighter when the cartridge is tucked away, and it has a rounded edges that make it very easy to slip into a pocket. The switchblade design is very cool and mostly convenient. I say mostly because wax can leak out when the wax cartridge is folded away, that’s because the cartridge is upside down when it’s stored.

Also, the mouthpiece is exposed when the Stealth is tucked in, so it’s exposed to any dirt or lint that’s in your pocket, purse, or whatever you’re using to carry it. As cool as the switchblade mechanism is, I have to wonder how long it will last after repeated use.

Switching between the wax and oil cartridges, or using pre-filled 510 threaded cartridges, is fast and easy, so you can take a variety of different cartridges with you without fumbling around. The Stealth doesn’t stand out, but that’s fine since it’s meant to be discreet, but it is available in different colors.

How to Use the Yocan Stealth

With Wax Extracts

The switchblade action of the Stealth cartridges is a cool feature, but it occasionally causes problems with leaking.
  1. Unscrew the top of the cartridge to reveal the coil.
  2. Dab your wax onto the coil and then reattach the top.
  3. Attach the cartridge to the unfolded connector on the Stealth.
  4. Press the power button 5x to turn on the device, press it 3x to select the power level.
  5. Inhale from the mouthpiece while holding down the power button.

With Oil Extracts

  1. Unscrew the mouthpiece from the cartridge, pour your oil into the cartridge, and replace the mouthpiece.
  2. Attach the cartridge to the Stealth while the connector is unfolded.
  3. Press the power button 5x to turn on the device, press it 3x to select the power level.
  4. Inhale from the mouthpiece while holding down the power button.

With Pre-filled Cartridges

  1. Screw the cartridge onto the connector while it is in the upright position.
  2. Press the power button 5x to turn on the device, press it 3x to select the power level.
  3. Inhale from the mouthpiece while holding down the power button.

Performance and Vapor Quality of the Yocan Stealth

Yocan Stealth w/ prefilled cartridge
510 threaded cartridges easily attach to the Stealth.

The performance of the Stealth is solid but unspectacular, it’s not bad by any means, but it won’t wow you either, that goes for oil, wax, and pre-filled CBD cartridges like Hemp Bombs. It is convenient and nicely portable, but as I mentioned in the Design section, the exposed mouthpiece means that stuff can get caught on it. So, you’ll need to clean it regularly.

The battery can last for nearly one hundred hits, but it takes a little over two hours to fully charge up. That’s not too bad, since it’s unlikely you’ll ever need to charge it while you’re out.
