A little intro is needed for this device because it’s essentially two vapes in one. Not a dual use vape, but a vape inside a vape. The smaller vape is quite similar to the Yocan Hive and is used for oil, while the bigger vape is used for wax. The smaller vape fits inside the larger one and can even use it as a power bank. So, if the smaller one runs out of juice, it can feed off the bigger one.

Of course, if you only vape one type of extract, then you’ll want a less expensive solo vape instead. You can get a good vape pen for your wax and a device like the Yocan Uni Pro (Review) for your oil cartridges. So that’s the basic background of the Delux, now let’s take a closer look.

Design and Features
Yocan Delux
General Design: The dual vape design means that the Delux is one of the more unique vaporizers I’ve seen in a while. The bigger Delux has a triangular design, but with rounded edges. The dual quartz atomizers and mouthpiece are one big 510 threaded unit that sits on top of the device. The Delux has a cutout that holds the smaller mini vape. It looks a little strange when it’s empty, and even when the mini vape is there too to be honest. The mini vape doesn’t get in the way of the larger Delux when you’re vaping so that’s a thoughtful design feature.
Ease of Use: Both the Delux and the mini vape are very easy to use even though they may seem complicated at first. The mouthpiece of the Delux is magnetically connected and the atomizer cover screws onto the atomizer, which makes them easy to connect and disconnect.
Portability: The Delux isn’t too tall, but it is pretty bulky and the mouthpiece/atomizer combo sticks out, so fitting it into any pockets might be tricky, if not completely impossible. It’s a little better suited for purses or backpacks, but if you can carry it with you, then you can basically carry around two vapes at once.
Mini Oil Vaporizer
General Design: As for the mini vape, like I said it looks a lot like the Hive, which means that it looks like your typical box style vape. It does have a convenient viewing portal that allows you to monitor the oil level, which is a nice, useful touch.
Ease of Use: The mini oil vape has a magnetic connector that attaches to the tank, so you just drop the tank into the vape when you’re ready to go. Both vapes feature one button control so they are both pretty easy to use.
Portability: Portability isn’t a problem with the the mini vape since it’s small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and you can take it pretty much anywhere.
Cleaning and Maintenance
The dual quartz coil is cleaned using q-tips dipped in isopropyl alcohol. The oil tank is cleaned by filling it partway with iso alcohol, swishing it around, and then rinsing it out with water.
How to Use

- Screw the mouthpiece and atomizer onto the Delux.
- Remove the mouthpiece and cover from the atomizer to expose the coils.
- Dab wax onto the coils and then attach the atomizer cover and then the mouthpiece.
- Press the power button five times to turn on the device.
- Press the power button three times to select a voltage setting.
- Once the temperature has been reached, inhale from the mouthpiece.
Mini Oil Vaporizer
- Remove the mouthpiece from the oil tank and screw the oil tank into the device.
- Fill the tank with oil and then replace the mouthpiece.
- Screw the tank into the device and press the power button five times to turn it on.
- Press the power button three times to select a voltage.
- Once heating is complete, inhale from the mouthpiece.
Number of Voltage Settings: The Delux has four voltage settings and the mini oil vape has three.
Performance and Vapor Quality
Each of the vaporizers produces flavor that is good, but not best-in-class.
Yocan Delux
Vaporizer Performance: The Delux heats up pretty quickly and the mouthpiece doesn’t get hot during use. It would be nice to know what the temperature settings are, but it’s not too big of a deal.
Vapor Quality: The flavor from the Delux is pretty good, not the best I have ever experienced, but it’s more than satisfactory. The two lower settings produce decent flavor while the upper settings produce slightly warmer vapor. You won’t be getting a lot of clouds from the Delux, so that makes it a great choice for stealth vaping, though cloud chasers might be disappointed.
Battery Performance: The Delux has a 1500 mAh battery that can go for days without recharging under moderate use. However, it can last for a while even under heavy use.
Mini Oil Vaporizer
Vaporizer Performance: This vape also heats up fast and stays cool to the touch. That isn’t too surprising since Yocan makes a lot of vapes like this, so they would have got the formula right by now.
Vapor Quality: The flavor is good and the device puts out some nice clouds, though, once again, it isn’t the best in this category. The fact that both vapes deliver good, but not great, shouldn’t be seen as too big of a negative since this two in one device is a pretty novel concept. The fact that their flavor is above average is actually pretty impressive.
Battery Performance: This vape has a capacity of 450 mAh, which can last for about a day of vaping. If the larger Delux is fully charged, then the mini vape can use it as a power source, which is pretty awesome. However, you can’t use it while it’s nestled in the Delux because of the way it’s positioned.
