Design and Features

Rokin Cyclone Design
The Cyclone has a basic vape pen design, but its aluminum body means that it is more durable than most.

General Design: The Cyclone has the standard vape pen design, but with a tapered mouthpiece instead of the hourglass shape seen in other vape pens. It’s easy to assemble and disassemble when you need to do so. The Cyclone has slightly deeper atomizer chambers than other vape pens so they hold more wax, which enables you to have longer sessions.

As with the majority of vape pens, portability is not an issue with the Cyclone, just grab it and go, you’re sure to have space for it somewhere. Discretion isn’t a problem either, especially in the stealthy matte black and shiny gunmetal finishes. The rose gold finish does stand out more, but it also adds some extra style to the Cyclone. The R logo on the bottom of the Cyclone illuminates while it’s in use though, so keep that in mind whenever you want to indulge in some covert vaping.

Build Quality: The Cyclone has a sturdy aluminum body so it’s a pretty tough little device. The mouthpiece is made from ceramic though, which is good because it keeps cool longer.

Cleaning and Maintenance

The ceramic atomizer is the easier of the two included atomizers to clean because you can just wipe a q-tip soaked in isopropyl alcohol around it to clean any excess residue. You use the same technique to clean the dual quartz coil, but it takes longer. For really stubborn bits of residue, you can perform a burn-off. That is when you crank the Cyclone to its highest voltage setting and keep it there to melt any stuck-on residue.

How to Use

  1. Remove the mouthpiece to expose the atomizer of your choosing.
  2. Dab some wax onto the atomizer and then replace the mouthpiece.
  3. Press the power button five times to turn on the device.
  4. Press the power button four times to cycle through the voltage settings.
  5. *Optional* Press the power button twice to engage active mode.
  6. Once the voltage has been reached, inhale from the mouthpiece while holding down the power button.

Active Mode extends each vaping session for fourteen seconds so that you can vape for a longer time.

Voltage Settings: 3.2V | 3.6V | 3.9V | 4.2V

Performance and Vapor Quality

Rokin Cyclone Performance
The deep ceramic atomizer holds a lot of wax and delivers the better vapor quality of the two included atomizers.

Vapor Quality: The Cyclone delivers some tasty vapor, especially when using the ceramic coil on the two middle voltage settings. By now, you should know that ceramic atomizers are better for flavor because they heat up slowly and the neutral material doesn’t affect the flavor of the vapor. However, that also means that they produce smaller clouds.

If you want denser clouds, then you should try the dual quartz coils. They give you dense vapor at the expense of vapor quality. The flavor isn’t bad, it’s just that the fast heat time of dual quartz means that the vapor tends to be hot and harsh. That’s why the lowest voltage setting is the best choice for these coils.

Battery Performance: The Cyclone uses a 720 mAh battery, which is good for an entire day of vaping. It has a fairly long charge time of two and a half hours though.
