First off, the PRTBL Ember is not a vape. It is a manual pipe that requires a lighter or a torch as it doesn’t contain a battery or heating element.

Sleek & Discreet

The Ember looks like a small electronic device or a USB hard drive. When it is closed, the bowl is covered, and there is no indication of what the device is. 

The top has a sliding cover that can expose the chamber, which is made from rose-gold shiny metal that looks to me like Cooper. It has an air intake hole and a hole that channels air into the airpath. 

Simple & striaghtforward

The Ember is super-simple to use and can easily be used by a total beginner. Just slide the cover to expose the bowl, fill it up at least halfway, and then put it against your mouth and light it up. 

Cooling channels

There is no indication of it on the outside, but the internals of this device has unique and innovative grooves inside that channel the air, filter, and cool it down. They basically run the air inside the body of the pipe for the purpose of cooling it down. 

Performance 

I’ve been using the Ember for a couple of weeks now, and I really learned to appreciate the simplicity of the design. Obviously, this is not a vape, so it doesn’t have a battery, buttons, or a charger plug. So it makes everything simpler and smaller. 

The Ember is made from a solid block of Aluminum, which makes it feel very strong and durable. It feels almost like I can drive over it with my SUV, and nothing will happen to it. 

Bottom line

If you are out in the market for a sleek and ultra-portable device, the Ember is definitely worth a try. With a fair retail price of $60 it has a place in the arsenal of every weed smoker, especially ones that like gadgets. You can stay at home or take it on the go, and it is suitable for beginners and pros alike.
