Compatibility: The PCKT One Plus is compatible with pre-filled CBD and THC cartridges.
The PCKT looks a little different to other 510 batteries because of its rounded design that eschews any hard angles. It’s an attractive and distinctive design that stands out. The PCKT feels quite solid too because the CNC (computer numeric control) manufacturing process means that it is machined from a solid block of aluminum. That means it only consists of two pieces, the body of the device and the end plate on its base. That gives the PCKT a nice, hefty feel that is also quite durable. Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to check the level of the oil while the cartridge is inserted into the battery.
There is a design shortcoming that most users will find a little annoying, though. The power button is located very low on the device, which makes reaching it very awkward when you’re holding the PCKT in one hand. Fortunately, you can vape without holding down the power button, though that depends on the airflow of the cartridge that you’re using.
The PCKT is just as portable friendly as other conceal style 510 batteries because it is just under four inches tall. Like most conceal batteries, the PCKT uses a magnetic adapter to connect to the cartridge. The PCKT includes two of them, one for 0.5 mL cartridges and one for 1 mL cartridges. They are different heights, so you can choose how far you want the mouthpiece of the cartridge to stick out of the PCKT. Only cartridges that are 11.55 mm in diameter or smaller are allowed.
Even though it has three power settings, the PCKT also has a RCKT chip that reads the ohm output of the cartridge and automatically adjusts the voltage of the PCKT to match. That helps to give users consistent results regardless of which cartridges they use. It also has a preheat feature that is useful if you want more powerful hits.
The user manual can be found here.
You will occasionally need to clean the magnetic adapters to make sure that no residue builds up on them. This is easily done using a q-tip that has been dipped in isopropyl alcohol.
Using the PCKT is easy since it heats up quickly and stays cool, but as I mentioned earlier, the button placement feels very awkward when you need to use it. You get used to it, but when you have batteries like the KandyPens C-Box, where the button placement is much more convenient, you can’t help but get a little annoyed.
As with all 510 batteries, the quality of the vapor depends on the quality of the cartridge, so use a quality cartridge like one from Hemp Bombs and you’ll be fine. Even so, the PCKT does have some features that can enhance the vaping experience. The automatically adaptable voltage setting is the main one because it adjusts the voltage to one that best matches the cartridge so that you get a nice hit every time.
The preheat function is also great, you can use it if you want stronger hits or ignore it if you want smoother hits. The PCKT is as simple to use as any other 510 battery, but the inclusion of those features adds a decent level of customization.
The PCKT has a 660 mAh battery, which is on the large side for these 510 devices. That means it can last for a few days of moderate vaping. It only takes about an hour to charge so you’ll be using the PCKT more often than not.
