Design & Features
Discreet and Portable
The new Decoy’s overall design is meant for users who want to stay discreet. Although not as small as the Nano, the Decoy still fits comfortably in the user’s hand. The size also makes it more portable than regular-sized 510 batteries.
The Decoy’s magnetic design makes it easier to switch from one cart to the next. The kit also comes with 2 magnetic adapters, which means that you could use your non-magnetic carts without a problem. Wider cartridges will not fit though, so you’d have to stick to regular-sized ones.
One of the great things about 02Vape products is the amount of flexibility. In the case of the Decoy, the variable voltage feature allows you to have more control over your experience. Choose among 3.4, 3.7 or 4.0 volts depending on your own preferences.
The preheat function on the Decoy also adds to its versatility. Depending on the viscosity of the oil in use, preheating could bring out smoother hits. Just don’t overdo this, because heating up the oil too much completely changes the flavor and quality of the oil.
Having your oil leaking in your pocket or bag is a huge inconvenience, so it’s good that the Decoy uses an anti-leak technology that prevents this from happening. This also allows you to stretch your oil longer by avoiding unnecessary waste.
3 Color Choices
The decoy is available in three colors – red, blue, and black. Although I’m not particular about the color, this is something that might be important to other people especially if they want their personality to show in their choice of device.
The Decoy is a good choice for people who want a different look and feel to their 510 batteries, especially if they’ve gotten tired of the usual black ones. Again, I’m not particular with the color, but it does feel nice to see it standing out, although this does go against the discreteness of the device.
Performance-wise, it gives decent hits and an overall smooth experience. This could be an effect of the Decoy’s flexibility, allowing users to create their own experience by changing the voltage or preheating the oil just enough to suit their taste.
