Design and Features
General Design: These 510 batteries generally look the same but the AeroBee manages to stand out. It has a cool asymmetrical design because of the sloping edge and cut out on the side of the battery where the cartridge is inserted. The control buttons also lend the battery some style because their silver color is a nice contrast against the matte black finish of the device body. The digital readout on top of the AeroBee also gives it some minimalist flair. It’s small enough to easily fit in the palm of your hand or your pocket, so you can take it anywhere with you.
Ease of Use: If you’re used to operating vape mods, then the AeroBee should be pretty easy and familiar to operate since it has a lot of similarities to those devices. If you’re not, then there is a slight learning curve involved. That is because you can switch between TC (Temperature Control) and VW (Variable Wattage) modes, which can be confusing for vaping novices. However, it doesn’t take too long to get the hang of it.
Build Quality: The AeroBee is made of aluminum, specifically the kind used in aerospace engineering, so that makes it pretty darn tough. It doesn’t just look sturdy, it feels that way to since it has a nice heft to it without feeling too heavy.
How to Use
- Attach your THC or CBD cartridge to the adapter and then place both in the cartridge receptacle of the battery.
- Press the power button five times quickly to turn on the battery.
- Press the power button three times to switch between TC and VW modes.
- Select the temperature or wattage using the plus and minus buttons.
- Once the selected temperature or wattage has been reached, inhale from the mouthpiece of your cartridge.
Variable Wattage Range: 1W – 20W
Temperature Control Range: 200°F – 600°F
Performance and Vapor Quality
Vaporizer Performance: Loading the AeroBee is really easy because of the magnetic adapter, though getting started can take a little longer because of the temperature/wattage selection. That’s different from draw activated batteries which are ready pretty much instantly. Still, the AeroBee doesn’t take too long to reach the selected temperature/wattage, but it’s not the type of battery for quick hits throughout your day. You have to commit to a session with this battery.
Vapor Quality: Since the AeroBee has granular control over the temperature or wattage, I could customize my session in a way that I can’t with other 510 batteries. I stuck with VW mode and while a maximum of 20 watts might seem low for dedicated vape modders, it is more than enough for pre-filled cartridges. I vaped my CBD cartridges in the 13 to 15 watt range and got great flavor and bigger clouds than I did with other batteries. The precise wattage and temperature control is great, though it may provide too many choices for more casual users.
Battery Performance: The AeroBee has a capacity of 800 mAh, which is pretty big for a 510 battery, so it can go for a while before it needs to be recharged.
