Double Barrel Background
Just who exactly came up with the idea for the Double Barrel? Was it a genius? A madman? A combination of the two? Whoever it was, I’m glad they did because this is one of the wildest oil vape pens I’ve ever tried. It goes without saying that even some of the Best Oil Vaporizers can’t accommodate two cartridges at the same time.
Yep, that’s the Double Barrel’s claim to fame, you can attach two different oil cartridges simultaneously. Madness? Maybe, but is two really better than one? And just who is this oil vape pen for anyway? And is the creator of this thing bouncing of the walls in a padded cell or receiving a Nobel prize? All these answers, and more, can be found in my Double Barrel review.
Double Barrel Availability

The Double Barrel isn’t sold online and is only available in select states. Call 877-916-0480 to find out where it’s sold. I suspect that finding out it’s sold near you is almost as good as finding out you won the lottery. Maybe even better.

Double Barrel Design

Despite the radical concept, the Double Barrel has a really simple design. It mainly consists of a metal housing attached to a base, the cartridges connect to the base and are enclosed in the housing, a pretty secure setup all around. The knuckle grips are attached to a magnetic strip on the device and can be held on top of your knuckles or inside your grip.
They’re actually pretty useful since you can hang onto the vaporizer while doing other stuff like playing video games, messing around on your phone, or reading a book (people still do that, right?). Setting up the Double Barrel isn’t difficult but it is more involved than other oil pod vaporizers. Most just require that you detach an empty cartridge and attach a new one.
The Double Barrel requires that you basically take the whole thing apart and put it back together. It’s not difficult but it does take longer than other vapes that use pre-filled cartridges.
How to Use the Double Barrel

- Remove the battery base from the metal housing by flipping the latch on the base of the device.
- Screw any two of the Double Barrel cartridges onto the battery base, then insert the base + cartridges into the device and close the latch.
- Attach the knuckle grip to the magnetic strip on the device.
- Inhale from the mouthpiece.
- To use just one of the cartridges, cover one of the air flow holes while inhaling from the mouthpiece.
Double Barrel Performance and Vapor Quality

Here’s a quick quiz for you, which of the following does the Double Barrel deliver?
- Awesome vapor quality
- Huge clouds
- Interesting flavor combinations
- All of the above
If you answered D. then you’re about half-way right. You’d expect the Double Barrel to deliver double the performance of a single oil vape pen but it honestly feels like more than that.
The flavor and vapor are excellent, the draw is perfectly tuned, and the ability to mix and match cartridges to create new flavor combinations is amazing. At the moment, it’s also kind of necessary. Double Barrel is partnered with Sherbinski’s to produce their oil and while the flavors are great, there are currently only three of them available; Gelato, Sunset Strip, and Mochi.

The battery situation is interesting because there’s no charging necessary, seriously, there isn’t a USB port to be found. It’s possible that the Double Barrel manufacturer’s have mastered magic or future science, however, I’m assuming that the oil cartridges are affixed to pre-charged batteries. However they managed it, the lack of charging gives the Double Barrel a leg (or two) up on the competition.
