Compatibility: The Bolt V2 is compatible with all manner of solid concentrates, such as wax, shatter, crumble, etc.
If you need replacements for any of the parts or accessories included in the kit of the Bolt V2, then you can get them from the Dabado website. If you want a different glass bubbler, then you can also get one from the Dabado website.
Those other glass bubblers are available in a wide variety of styles and shapes. Not only do they make the Bolt V2 look more interesting, some of them do a better job of cooling down the vapor than the default bubbler. Be sure to use the Dabado coupon codewhenever you buy anything from them.
Design and Features
General Design: The Bolt V2 has the standard slim e-nail design, though this one has an LCD screen that looks good, but is mostly superfluous—more on that later. Overall, it’s a sleek looking device. It’s also very easy to use the device because it only uses a single button to control everything. So if you’re used to vape pens, and are using an e-nail for the first time, you shouldn’t have too many problems with the bolt V2.
Portability: The included carrying case makes the Bolt V2 easier to transport, which is pretty useful. However, this isn’t really a portable since it’s way too unwieldy to be used while you’re out and about.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Nails: Smaller bits of residue can be cleaned using cotton swabs or q-tips soaked in isopropyl alcohol. More stubborn residue can be cleaned by performing a burn-off. This is when you heat up a nail to its maximum temperature so that the residue melts away.
Water Bubbler: Pour some iso alcohol into the bubbler, swish it around, and then pour it out. Rinse the bubbler with warm water before using it again.
How to Use
- Attach one of the nails to the device and then firmly pace the water bubbler over it.
- Fill the bubbler with water up to the limit marker.
- Press the power button three times to activate the low-temperature range. Press the button five times to activate the high-temperature range.
- Once heating is complete, place the carb cap over the nail and inhale from the mouthpiece.
Temperature Range: Low-Temperature Range (680°F – 699°F) | High-Temperature Range (700°F – 720°F)
Seasoning the Titanium Nail: If you want to prevent the weird metallic aftertaste you get from the titanium nail, then you should season it before you use it. You do this by dabbing a thin layer of wax on the nail and then turning the heat to the maximum setting until the wax burns off. Wait until the nail cools down a little and then repeat the process a few more times. Yeah, you use up some of your wax, but that’s better than having the titanium affect the vapor quality.
Performance and Vapor Quality
E-Nail Performance: The Bolt V2 heats up quickly, especially at the low-temperature range. It also stays cool at both temperature ranges.
Vapor Quality: The vapor quality is hurt a little bit by the fact that the Bolt V2 doesn’t have precise temperature control. The result is that the vapor always feels a little too warm even with the bubbler. Some of the optional glass bubblers mitigate or eliminate that problem, but you shouldn’t have to buy an expensive, optional accessory to get cooler vapor.
As for the flavor, it’s pretty good, especially with the ceramic nail, but I wish that I could enjoy it at lower temperatures. Plus, the fact that there is only a 40° temperature range means that there is very little temp customization to be had. The crisp LCD shows you the current temperature and primes you to expect more precise control. Unfortunately, it’s a disappointing tease that looks good but is ultimately pointless.
Battery Performance: The Bolt V2 uses a removable 18650 battery that is good for about twenty to thirty heat cycles before it needs a recharge or a replacement. That recharge takes about two to four hours when charging the battery externally, and three to six hours when charging it while it’s still in the device.
