The G-Pen Micro+ (Plus) is a feature-packed 2021 version of an old-school dab pen. It’s comprised of three parts – a food-grade silicone mouthpiece, the Micro+ tank, and the 850mAH battery with 510 threading. The Micro+’s battery makes micro-adjustments for more consistent temperatures and distinguishes between cartridges and the Micro+ tank.
The Yocan Flame is a feature-packed vaporizer, with several inclusions in its kit at a very affordable price. While it is primarily a wax vaporizer and the nectar collector feature is secondary – this is one of the few devices on the market that serve this dual purpose. It’s a great device to have if you want something that has water filtration – without breaking the bank.
The Yocan Torch XL shares its functionality with its little brother, the Yocan Torch. Although similar, they’re differentiated by size and power. The Torch XL features an interchangeable quartz dual and triple coil atomizer, a glass cap for purer flavor, continuous heating, adjustable airflow, and variable voltage. With a feature list like this, any user would expect to shell out $$$, but the Yocan Torch XL is priced at only $75.
The Apollo is a well-made, sturdy wax vaporizer/ eNail hybrid that is the best of both worlds. The included glass bubbler is uniquely and artfully designed although not the most discreet. The device features smart heating technology, several pre-set heat modes, and Linx’s signature quartz atomizer, this device allows you to really taste and experience your material – without wasting it.
The Session is smart and uniquely designed to be an all-in-one extract vaporizer or what’s better known as a hybrid vape. This device can be used both as an eNail with existing Rigs or as a “standalone” wax vape. It features a neutral ceramic coil, three pre-set temperatures, and a simple straightforward user interface. The vapor produced ranges from mild to dense but is quite flavor-forward. Although, the best reason to buy the Session would most likely be its duality.
The Boost EVO is another release from the famed brand: Dr. Dabber. It also features the brand’s signature ergonomic deep center curve and LED lights. All of the EVO’s components are magnetically secured, making cleaning and assembly a breeze. One of its most notable performance features is the integrated temperature sensor that ensures that the atomizer does not overheat. The EVO is a simple, yet well-performing dab rig, and it might just be a new crowd favorite from Dr. Dabber.
The Crystal 2 is a high-end, durable Dab Pen. The “Coilless” quartz bowl and the glass mouthpiece produce flavorful vapor that remains pure and tasty throughout the entire session. It also has adjustable airflow and a large (1200mAh) battery that outlasts “thinner” pens. The Crystal is simple enough for beginners and powerful enough for advanced users, making it the best wax pen of 2021.
If you are still using an old school rig and torch, ditch it. The Peak Pro is the latest reason to do so. At $400, the Peak Pro one of the more expensive eRigs out there, but it is also one of the best. The real-time temp control keeps a precise temp at the bowl, a game-changer in terms of efficiency and vapor quality. The Pro can be used as a point-and-shoot device by a total beginner, but it’s also powerful and smart enough to satisfy experienced users.
The Breezy is a sleek oil vape that’s compatible with any 510-threaded CBD/THC carts. It has a fast heat time and features 4 voltage settings to customize your vaping profile. It has two magnetic adapters that allow the device to hold either 0.5g or 1g oil carts. Overall, the Breezy is a decent conceal-type oil vape that provides great value for its price.
The Weezy is an entry-level vaporizer that has a simple and intuitive design. It has three preset temperatures and features a 15 seconds sesh mode so that you won’t need to hold down the power button as you vape. It also features a button on its side that pops out the ceramic atomizer for easier loading and cleaning. Finally, it has a 700 mAh battery that could last a couple of days of casual vaping. All in all, this is an appealing choice for beginners or vapers who are looking for a back-up or travel vape.
Dr. Dabber Stella is a sleek-looking vape that produces stellar vapor flavor. It features a Temperature Coefficient Resistance which prevents the wax from getting burned. Also, the ‘floating coil’ design helped with dispersing the heat properly. For a $100 vape, this is suitable for both newcomers and experienced vapers who prefer vapor flavor above anything else.
Yocan Vane has a 380 mAh battery with Dual Quartz Coil and features a pre-heat function. It’s a sleek and straightforward vape that produces vapor that’s suitable for beginners. It may be an appealing choice, especially for those who have a low budget or as a ‘travel vape’. But, if you are looking for a primary wax pen, I suggest you invest a little more $ and go for a longer-lasting, better quality vape.
The Dive Mini features a dual functionality which means that aside from using it as a normal vape pen, you can use the concentrate straw to dab directly onto your wax. It also comes with an additional mouthpiece with a water bubbler which works great on both modes since it makes the vapor less harsh and bearable for first-timers. It produces above-average vapor and flavor but not comparable to high-end vapes. Even so, for a $45 vape, this is a suitable choice for beginners and intermediate users.
Source is known to make products for advanced users that know exactly what they want from a vape, and the Versa is no different. It has a powerful battery, precise temp control, and XL coils that can hold a large amount of extract. It has a familiar eRig shape, yet it is more versatile from most. But is it better? We’ll let you know once we get our review unit and test it.
The Vive is a dual functionality vape, compatible with wax or oil carts. It’s a sleek and discreet device, with a magnetic cover and three temp levels. Source has been quiet for the last couple of years with no new releases. Is this their comeback? We’ll let you know as soon as we get our review unit.
The Yocan X has a 500 mAh battery and features a Dual Quartz Coil like most of the Yocan vaporizers I’ve tested. It has a balance of vapor quality and cloud production that is unusual for an inexpensive vaporizer. This is an appealing choice for beginners who want to try vaping concentrates. However, if you’re an experienced vaper who expects stellar vapor quality, there are some better options for you.
The G Pen Roam is a portable concentrate vaporizer that features a unique self-contained water filtration tube that results in cool & pure vapor. This is an unusual feature in any portable vaporizer but is especially interesting in a wax vape. A lot of thought and creativity went into designing and engineering this vape. The Roam is a dab rig packed into a vape that can fit in your palm.
The Era Pro uses PaxSmart pods that automatically set the recommended temperature and dosage settings on the given flavor. It has a Pod ID feature that gives you all the necessary information (CBD/THC content, flavor profile, etc.) which can be found by using the smartphone app. The smartphone app allows users to change the temperature and dosage of how they want it to be. It has a large variety of flavors since the Era Pro is backward compatible with the older pods of Pax.
Bloom Farms only use natural flavors and extracts in their CBD carts. There are currently four available flavors (Natural, Sequoia Mint, Stone Fruit & Blackberry) that have at least 60% cannabinoids which is enough to sustain your everyday needs. They also have tinctures that have higher CBD content and specifically made for heavy CBD users. Overall, Bloom Farms Carts & Tinctures are appealing for both beginners and experienced users.
The Leaf Buddi Wuukah is a portable dab rig with unique features that make it stand out. It gives you three different nails, precise temperature control, and a big, cool-looking LED screen. It’s perfect for anyone who has ever wanted more customization choices in their portable rig.
The Dr Dabber cartridge has four flavors you can choose: Regular, Citrus, Fresh, & Robust. Each cartridge has an adjustable airflow to set your draw resistance to your likings and has a glass mouth tip that keeps the flavor pure. The battery, on the other hand, has preset temperatures and sesh mode which beginners may find useful. Overall, the cartridges and the batteries are nicely designed products which makes the combo package an appealing choice for beginners.
Utillian 2 is an affordable and straightforward wax pen. It has a straw-like glass mouth tip that keeps the vapor cool, especially in lower settings. The Dual Quartz coil works great for small amounts and produces mild and soft vapors that are suitable for first-time users. However, caution is needed since the mouth tip is gentle and can easily break. The 2 is a good “first vape” but keep in mind that you’d probably grow out of it quickly and look for something more advanced.
The KandyPens C-Box (Pro & Mini) both have intuitive design and functions great in their respective price range. The C-Box Pro is button-activated that has four temp settings, while the C-Box Mini is draw-activated that has a single voltage setting (3.7V). Choosing between the two is a matter of preference. As for me, I liked using the Pro version since it can fit bigger cartridges and has four variable voltages for different vaping profiles. Regardless of what you choose, both vapes can produce good quality vapor that’s appealing for beginners.
The Yocan Regen is an affordable concentrate vaporizer made for the hard-hitters. It includes two different quartz coils that produce intense vapor and big clouds. The vapor quality is good but not great, so anyone who is into flavor over clouds should look elsewhere.
