KandyPens K-Vape Pro Review
TVG reviews products
The Good: Glass mouthpiece keeps the vapor cool and feels good | Very easy to use | Oven size is perfect for “Solo vaping” | Air-path is separated from the electronics
The Bad: No precise temp control
The Bottom Line: The K-Vape Pro is one of the better budget vapes I’ve tried lately, and I’ve tried a lot, since it seems like a new, affordable vape gets released every day. This one stands out because of its tapered glass mouthpiece that feels good and looks good. If you’re a new vaper on a tight budget, the the K-Vape Pro is a great option.

Compatibility: The K-Vape Pro is only compatible with dry herb.
Like every weed vape, the K-Vape Pro benefits from a great grinder to get your herb to the right, vaporizer-friendly density. There are few manual grinders better than the SLX. It has everything you could ever want in a grinder, from a smooth, wrist-friendly motion, to a useful kief catcher. If you want one for yourself, you can get it from Amazon.
Design and Features
General Design: Even though the K-Vape Pro is KandyPens entry into the world of budget vaporizers, it doesn’t have budget looks, though it is more understated than most of their vape pens. It ditches the standard weed vape box shape for a tall, slim design that looks and feels good.
Since it’s a budget vape, it’s pretty streamlined, so it only has a single button to control the power and temperature. That button is well placed in the center of the device, so it’s easy to reach no matter how you hold the vaporizer. There aren’t any flashy design flourishes and the matte dark grey color is pretty standard among budget vapes.
That color does stand out nicely against the glass mouthpiece. That’s right, even though the K-Vape Pro is a lower priced vape, they still gave it a nice, tapered, glass mouthpiece to help keep the vapor cool and offset the short vapor path.
Portability: The K-Vape Pro is about four inches tall and has a slim silhouette, so it slips in and out of pockets with ease. The mouthpiece is exposed, but as long as you exercise a little care, you won’t have any problems keeping it clean.
Build Quality: This vape is made from anodized aluminum, so it’s pretty tough and scratch resistant. There is the matter of the glass mouthpiece of course, but it doesn’t stick out too far so it should be able to survive an impact or two. I wouldn’t test that out though, despite the fact that the kit of the K-Vape Pro includes a spare.
Cleaning and Maintenance
The herb chamber of the K-Vape Pro is fairly small so cleaning it is a little trickier than it is for larger chambers. It isn’t too difficult to clean in general, as long as you use the right tools, like the included cleaning brush.
How to Use
- Remove the mouthpiece to expose the herb chamber.
- Load your herb into the chamber and replace the mouthpiece.
- Press the power button five times to turn on the power.
- Hold down the power button to cycle through the preset temperatures and release it when the LED light with the color indicating your chosen temperature is illuminated.
- Once the LED light stops blinking, heating is complete and you can inhale from the mouthpiece.
Temperature Settings: 350°F (Yellow) | 375°F (Green) | 400°F (Red) | 428°F (Blue)
Performance and Vapor Quality
Vaporizer Performance: The K-Vape Pro heats up quickly so sessions get started almost as soon as you’re done loading. And thanks to the funnel-shaped chamber, loading is pretty quick too. Since this vape has a glass mouthpiece, the vapor never gets too hot.
Vapor Quality: I got the best flavor from the two middle settings since they are the most balanced. The highest setting gives you some more clouds, but the flavor loss isn’t worth it. The chamber holds about 0.25 grams of herb, which is perfect for solo users.
Battery Performance: The battery lasts for about sixty minutes, which is good, though a little shorter than the average. At least it features pass-through charging, so you can continue vaping while you wait for it to recharge.
KandyPens K-Vape Pro vs X Max Starry Vaporizer V3 vs Vapium Lite
The Starry and the Lite are two affordable vapes that have a lot of great features. The Starry has impressive vapor quality, precise temperature control, and a swiveling mouthpiece that gives it extra convenience. The Lite is extremely easy to use and is the cheapest vape here. If you’re a vaper on a budget, then any of these three vapes are a great choice.
