DynaVap M Review: The Low-Tech, High Performing Analog Vaporizer
The DynaVap M is an analog vaporizer that doesn’t use batteries or electricity. Instead you heat up the tip with a lighter, it’s like a metal joint! Only more convenient since you can reuse it indefinitely and there’s no combustion. The DynaVap M delivers big on both flavor and intensity. The DynaVap M might seem primitive at first but use it just once and you’ll discover that it’s one of the more forward thinking vaporizers around.
DynaVap M Background
The DynaVap M ($100 directly from DynaVap) is a manual vaporizer, which means that it doesn’t use a battery, instead you use a butane torch as your power source. So who would want such a thing? How about vapers who don’t want to worry about battery levels or USB ports or battery replacement. It’s also great for anyone making the transition from smoking joints to vaping who wants a similar experience but without the combustion.
It’s also great for anyone who wants a simple back to basics device without the light show and fireworks you see in some of the Best Dry Herb Vaporizers. You like the light show and fireworks? Well, give the DynaVap M a shot anyway, you might be surprised at how much you enjoy the analog approach to vaping. Continue reading my DynaVap M review to learn more.

The DynaVap M starter kit includes the following:

An analog vaporizer pairs nicely with an analog grinder like the SLX. It can grind down the weed to the perfect consistency for any vaporizer, whether it’s manual or electric.

DynaVap M Design
The DynaVap M is about four inches long and slim as a regular cigarette so portability isn’t a problem here. Neither is learning how to use it, heating it up is intuitive enough but it has a nice feature that makes sure you don’t go too far. There is a soft click, followed by a louder one that lets you know when to stop heating and start vaping. As you’re vaping, another click sounds as the M cools down, letting you know that it’s time to start heating up again.
It’s important to respect the clicks, especially when heating, if you go too long you might end up burning the herb, which defeats the purpose of getting a vaporizer in the first place. If you resume heating before you hear the cooldown click then, that’s right, you end up burning the herb. So just remember, “no heating while vaping”, and you’ll have a good time.
The stainless steel body is unbreakable and unbendable so longevity isn’t an issue. Cleaning isn’t an issue either since the M is pretty low maintenance.
How to Use the DynaVap M
- Place the end of the DynaVap M in your ground herb and fill the end so that the herb is flush with the end of the vaporizer.
- Place the heat cap on the end and start heating with your torch.
- When you hear a second click, inhale from the mouthpiece.
*Note* – You can continue heating for a second or two after the second click for a more intense hit.
DynaVap M Performance and Vapor Quality
The DynaVap M delivers great flavor quality and intense hits and it gives you some control even without the precise temperature adjustment of electric vapes. The clicks help you calibrate the intensity of your session, if you continue heating for a second or two after the second click—no longer!—you get a more intense hit. If you just want flavor, then start inhaling right after the second click.
You can also manage the temperature by heating the end of the heat cap for lower temperatures and moving closer for higher ones. There is a learning curve involved but once you get used to it, you have a good amount of control over each session. Note that you need to use a butane lighter, a regular cigarette lighter won’t work. There’s not much else to say here, except that you shouldn’t touch the tip of the Dynavap M while it’s hot, but I didn’t have to mention that, right?
DynaVap M Review: Final Thoughts
The DynaVap M ($100 directly from DynaVap) is a cool, unique, analog vaporizer that’s perfect for anyone who wants a vaping experience similar to smoking a joint but without that messy, dirty combustion. There’s a slight learning curve involved but once you get over the hump, you’ll find that the M is as good for new users as it is for veterans.
Both groups can appreciate the ease of use, the flavor quality, the easy upkeep, and not having to scramble to find a USB port all the time. This analog vaporizer could teach even the Best Weed Vaporizers a thing or two. Thanks for reading my DynaVap M review, for more coverage of every kind of vaporizer on the planet, you’re already in the right place.
