Boundless CFC 2.0 Review: It’s Bigger than the Original CFC, But is it Better?
The CFC 2.0 is a huge upgrade to the original CFC, it fixes all of the flaws of the original and makes some significant improvements to the design. For starters, it is a little bigger than the original and has a more pleasing design that is easier to grip. The new mouthpiece feels better to vape from than the original and the precise temperature control allows a nice level of customization that you can see via the clear OLED screen. The Boundless CFC 2.0 may have the price of a budget dry herb vaporizer, but it has the feature list of a more expensive one.

What I can tell you right now is that it’s definitely an improvement over the original Boundless CFC, which could have been a Great Dry Herb Vaporizer, but was only a good one. So, is the new CFC good enough to make that rarified list? Keep reading my Boundless CFC 2.0 review to find out.

Boundless CFC 2.0 Design
The CFC 2.0 is 5.2 inches tall and 1.1 inches in diameter. Yes, diameter. The 2.0 has a cylindrical shape that makes it a little more convenient than the original CFC. It’s now easier to grip and the conical mouthpiece feels much more comfortable.
The new mouthpiece also doesn’t have the cracking and overheating issue of the original CFC’s mouthpiece. A better airflow and more heat-resistant coating sees to that. The CFC 2.0 also has a more ergonomic design in general.
It feels good in the hand, and the power and temperature control buttons are easy to access. The ridged design of the body provides a nice non-slip grip and the OLED screen is clear and informative. The plain, all-plastic design of the CFC 2.0 won’t turn any heads, but it won’t make anyone wince either. That’s fine when you need to engage in some quick, discreet vaping.
How to Use the Boundless CFC 2.0
- Remove the mouthpiece to expose the chamber, then fill it with your herb.
- Replace the mouthpiece, then press the power button 5x to turn on the device.
- Use the temperature control buttons to select the desired temperature.
- Once heating is complete, inhale from the mouthpiece.
Performance and Vapor Quality of the Boundless CFC 2.0
The Boundless CFC 2.0 produces decent flavor, has a fairly low draw resistance, and is very easy to use. It’s perfect for beginners, but there are better options for more experienced vapers. All of the plastic gives the CFC 2.0 the look and feel of a budget vaporizer.
Granted, it is a budget vaporizer, but there are other vaporizers at this price point that stand out more. That budget feel impairs what is a really cool accessory in the water pipe adapter. The lack of texturing means that it can sometimes get stuck in the water pipe if you’re not careful.
That caveat aside, the adapter works pretty well since you can crank up the temperature to get bigger hits without worrying about any harsh feeling vapor. Battery life is quite good, it can last for quite a few sessions throughout the day, and only takes about three hours to get fully charged.
Boundless CFC 2.0 Review: Conclusion
The Boundless CFC 2.0 ($89 from Planet of the Vapes) is not the disappointment the original CFC was, but it won’t trouble any of the Best Dry Herb Vaporizers either. It’s a decent beginner vaporizer, but even at this price range, there are better options.
It’s nice and portable, and the water pipe adapter is a great inclusion, but all the plastic makes it seem cheaper than it actually is. It’s a decent first vaporizer, but anyone who owns it will likely move on from it in a few months—if not sooner.
Thanks for reading my Boundless CFC 2.0 review, it’s not a bad weed vape, it’s just not as good as it could have been.
