General Design

Arizer Air 2 vs Solo 2 comparison
The Arizer Air 2 (L) and the Arizer Solo 2 (R) both have granular temperature controls and OLED screens that clearly display battery and temperature information.

The Solo 2 is listed as a portable but it is a little too large for most people to be able to tote it around comfortably. It won’t easily fit into any pockets, and that’s even before you take the glass mouthpiece into account. Since it is both quite long and made of glass, it requires extra care if you plan to take it anywhere. The Solo 2 is perfect for at home vaping because it has a shape that is comfortable to grip, has a long battery life, and is very easy to use.

One of the reasons the Solo 2 is so simple to use is because of the loading procedure, which is one of the attributes it has in common with the Air 2. However, the Air 2 is a little more portable-friendly because it has a smaller circumference than the girthier Solo 2. So, it can fit into pockets more easily without the mouthpiece attached. If you want to carry the mouthpiece around, the included carrying case is the best option. If you’re willing to wear it, then you’ll be happy to know that it also features a compartment for a spare battery.

The Air 2 isn’t the most travel-friendly weed vape you’ll ever use, but it is far more portable than the Solo 2.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Honestly, I could almost leave this section empty since neither vape requires much upkeep. Their herb chambers never need cleaning since the weed doesn’t come into contact with them. The glass mouthpieces rarely need to be cleaned, and when they do, it’s a very simple procedure. The Air 2 and Solo 2 are two of the most worry-free vapes you’ll ever use.

Substance Compatibility

Both the Air 2 and the Solo 2 have a secondary function as aromatherapy diffusers.

Both are dry herb only vapes, however, they each have a secondary function as an aromatherapy diffuser. With the right accessory attached, you can use either of them to diffuse the aroma of different kinds of herbs. Most people probably won’t use that functionality, but it is there.

Vapor Quality

The glass mouthpiece of each vaporizer ensures that the vapor is always cool, pure, and flavorful.

The vapor from both the Air 2 and Solo 2 is exquisite. Credit is due to the convection heating system and to the long, glass mouthpieces, which do an excellent job of cooling down the vapor and keeping it pure. Yes, the glass mouthpieces can be a little inconvenient sometimes, but when you inhale the vapor from them, you will realize they are worth all the trouble.

Longevity and Reliability

Both these vaporizers are rock-solid as far as reliability is concerned. They are both very simple devices that consist of very few parts, so there isn’t a lot that can go wrong with them. The main point of concern is the glass mouthpieces, which can of course crack or break if mishandled. However, as long as you use just a minimum amount of care, you’ll be fine.

Battery Life and Charge Time

The battery life and charge time of the Solo 2 are impressive, but the fact that it needs a wall adapter limits its convenience somewhat. The battery life of the Air 2 is about the average for a portable vaporizer. However, the fact that you can just replace the battery with a new one when it dies is very convenient. It also makes up for the lengthy charge time. Both vapes feature pass-through charging, which kicks in after a few minutes once they have started recharging.
