Overall the Apollo Neo is a nice unit and the battery life is pretty average for this type of Sub-Ohm vape. The Apollo NEO Endeavor puts out a decent vapor cloud, and the flavor isn’t bad either. However, if you are vaping above 30 watts, this isn’t gonna be for you. Other than that, the NEO Endeavor is a fine little vape pen. I recommend it as an introduction to Sub Ohm vaping, for people who don’t want to chuck massive clouds.
BEST DEAL: $24.95 directly from Apollo
Apollo Neo Background
Today we are looking at a simple vape pen that is designed to handle SubOhm vaping called the Apollo NEO ($24.95 directly from Apollo Cigs), this unit is based upon their original Endeavor starter kit.
Apollo is a company that’s best known for making e-cigarettes, although recently they have been making more serious vapor products. Vape pens typically have been for higher Ohm vaping, so I’m interested to see what kind of cloudage I can get off the Apollo NEO Endeavor. Let’s dive in!
Apollo Neo Design
As far as the design goes, this pen is really pretty. It’s not pure white – but rather, it has an off-white look to it, which is super nice. The unit looks strong and sturdy, and the bits of stainless on it really help to accent the look. We also really liked the feel of the device in-hand. It was long enough to get a firm grip on, but it was also lightweight.
There were several air-holes in this vape pen – and while they weren’t adjustable, they still did a good job. This device seemed to be mostly made from metal and glass. It seemed pretty sturdy to us – so kudos to Apollo for that. It doesn’t get much easier than this. You pretty much just unbox it, plug in, fill it, and vape.
Apollo Neo Performance and Vapor Quality
The Apollo NEO Endeavor puts out a decent vapor cloud, and the flavor isn’t bad either. However, I can tell you right now that if you are vaping above 30 watts, this isn’t gonna do it for you. Yes, it can Sub Ohm, but you won’t be winning any cloud comps with this little thing.
After taking the tank off and experimenting with other vape mods, I’ve come to the conclusion that the Apollo NEO battery is only putting out 25-30W max. For a .5 ohm coil head, it’s not giving me the satisfaction I get from vaping at 40-50W. It’s very mellow for a Sub Ohm vape.
I’m not saying that this is a bad device. In fact, it might be just the right amount of vapor you are looking for. If you’re upgrading from an e-cig or vape pen, then this will blow you away. However, if you are vaping on an RDA at 50W, then the NEO Endeavor will not meet your expectations.
Final Thoughts on the Apollo Neo
Overall the Apollo Neo is a nice unit, the battery life is pretty average for this type of Sub-Ohm vape. I would say the NEO Endeavor is a fine little vape pen. I recommend it as an introduction to Sub Ohm vaping, for people who don’t want to chuck massive clouds. For the price, it is a great way to get started. The tank can also be used on your new mod if you ever decide to upgrade. Check out my top picks for best e-cig of 2017.
